CBG
The mother of all cannabinoids
Cannabigerol (CBG) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid considered by many to be the most significant of the 113 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. These cannabinoids are broken into categories of ‘Minor’ or ‘Major’, major cannabinoids have a higher percentage of prevalence in the cannabis plant while minor cannabinoids equal a smaller percentage. CBG is classified as a minor cannabinoid and is produced when heat is applied to the raw, unprocessed acidic CBGa molecule. After this heat reaction, CBGa turns into the majority of all cannabinoids including CBD and THC. CBG is the precursor and where it all begins, making it ‘The Mother’! CBG reacts with the cannabinoid receptors in the brain and nervous system creating a powerful chain reaction throughout the body.
